Overview: Ascent Transport is looking for an experienced Truck Shunter / Yard Labourer with a Class 1 license to add to our Nisku team. The successful candidates' responsibilities include moving trucks and trailers on site as necessary, performing general labour duties and keeping the shop and yard free of debris, hazards and other miscellaneous items to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Duties: Including but not limited to;

• Shunt trailers in/out of shop and between yards.
• Test drive equipment to diagnose service issues and confirm repairs.
• Perform yard and building maintenance.
• Wash equipment as required.
• Operate skid steer and loaders to unload/move material.
• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks.
• Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions.

Qualifications:

• Class 1 license a must.
• Ability to operate loader and skid steer a must.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Reliable, punctual, good work ethic & attitude.

Compensation: $25 - $30 an hour
