Mission
As the Business Line Manager for the Underground Division, your mission is to safeguard and enhance Epiroc’s market share and profitability within the underground segment. You will lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives that drive product and market growth across all major regions, ensuring comprehensive market coverage through a blend of independent distribution and direct sales. By fostering customer loyalty through exceptional product support, regardless of distribution channel, customer segment, or location, you will cement Epiroc's position as the go-to solution provider. With a commitment to clear and visible leadership, you will actively collaborate with internal teams and customers, promoting a unified approach to success.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the appropriate market and sales strategies for the business line, in line with divisional goals and guidelines
  • This position has full P & L and Balance Sheet responsibility for the Underground Business Line
  • Apply the appropriate territory management practices in the distribution channels to optimize market coverage, sales actions and product support
  • Coach, support and guide our sales team members that work with underground products through Independent Distribution, including direct supervision of those that predominantly work with the Underground Division
  • Guide and support our Service Centers to further develop their underground business
  • Prudently monitor and manage the asset investments related to the underground business
  • Work closely with the aftermarket teams to maximize customer satisfaction with the underground parts & service business

Competency, Skills, and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or extensive relevant experience in the mining and construction business in lieu of formal education
  • Ten years of experience in the construction, mining and exploration industries, in Chile or Internationally is required
  • Direct sales, as well as distributor management and product management experience in Chile or Internationally is considered a plus
  • Solid technical knowledge of the underground product offering
  • Proven background in managing and directing multiple locations across geographic borders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook is required
  • Advanced verbal, written and presentation communication skills with a strong customer focus are required
  • Dual fluency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
  • Ability to lead change through a large organization consisting of both in house and remote employees
  • Demonstrate excellence in development and execution of strategy
  • Must be available to travel.
  • Strong analytical skills; full knowledge and understanding of Profit and Loss statements
