Account Sales Director

Purpose:
This role is responsible for sales of all discovery both in device and consumable China business. The role involves planning, executing and management of annual sales & profit, and this must be achieved through adherence to compliance and legal requirements. This role must demonstrate a strong discipline in our compliance and business conduct code.

What you’ll do:
  • Define, align, and lead to deliver a winning route-to-market strategy which could sustain and prepare the business for next 2-3 years.
  • Establish annual sales strategy, plan, and objective by Channel and for selected KAs; execute the strategy and plan to deliver sales target and ROS by channel objective.
  • Act with highest level of compliance discipline as a sales leader and make sure that the full sale team have the disciplinary mindset to follow Alcon Code of Business Conduct and Compliance Policies
  • Manage the sales budget with highest level of compliance discipline. The budget needs to be managed in a very clear and structured way, from allocation, to release, to record and to monitor and make sure that budget is used on target with ROS by Channel by KA objective achieved.
  • Responsible for optimizing Account Receivable over-due ratio to ensure company’s financial security; Responsible for optimizing Product return & exchange related performance
  • Master the customer insight, discover, and realize the potential business opportunity in market. Recommend and execute compelling commercial programs, and offerings to drive consumer off-take. Serve as thought leader, identifying new revenue opportunities through research, customer and industry feedback and sales performance analysis. Research industry trends, seeking opportunities to bridge gaps in business objectives, pushing the business forward to exceed financial targets.
  • Build a strong sales team with relevant qualifications, passion to win, one team spirit, trust, and discipline mindset of doing right things in right way. Be good at tapping the potential of employees, continuously developing employees' ability and willingness to work, and building a passionate and strong team.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Operation team, Training, Marketing and a wide range of cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all reporting and planning work at sales level completed timely with high quality.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of the company's products, markets, competitors, and relevant government regulations
Who you are:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience including strategic selling and negotiation
  • Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution- based sales process
  • Strong communication skills to synthesize complex issues and communicate into simple messages
  • Willingness and ability to travel within specified geographic region.
  • Proven leadership of medium-large business management
  • Have high standard of personal ethics and integrity, and strong mindset of compliance discipline.
  • Strong leadership of motivating a large sales team by lead in-front, care & coach and role modeling of integrity and compliance.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen and decision-making skill; ability to identify business opportunities, prioritize, align, and execute potential initiatives to deliver strong result.
  • Possess rich sales management experience and keen market insight with good overall view and operation ability.
  • Can organize work and manage budgets with highest compliance standard and with continuous action to improve return-on-investment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, both within sales team and across functional teams to articulate vision, execution needs and rally for support.
  • Proficient in the use of technology to enable efficient work, better collaboration, and project management.
