About the Business

Our R&D and Government Incentives practice help clients review business model and process, identify eligible R&D projects and activities, calculate qualified expenses, and prepare robust supporting documentation by utilising technology based solutions to ensure a smooth process with increased completeness, transparency and compliance. We seek and negotiate available government grants, credits and incentives that are potentially available to clients and provide support in securing the benefits. R&D claims and government incentive applications often receive intense regulatory scrutiny. We provide assistance in audit resolution as well as support related to claims and information requests or objections from relevant government bodies.

Work you'll do

• Applies knowledge of current tax legislation, proposed/pending legislation, their implications, and understands interaction across the Global Tax and Business Advisory function, specifically with their area of expertise
• Applies relevant and appropriate technical knowledge during the Business Tax project lifecycle, including during client conversations and advisory deliverables
• Uses appropriate research techniques and analytical skills to enable fact-based decision making
• Expertly uses locally available R&D and GI technologies to achieve efficiencies and enhance deliverables
• Plans scope, assesses feasibility and defines structure of R&D and GI project opportunities
• Manages R&D and GI engagements and related processes
• Assists clients with R&D and GI by applying knowledge of regional or local rules and practice for incentive programs, eligibility processes or cost calculations
• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate application of Technologies and Methodologies (with a specific use for R&D and GI)

We are looking for someone with

• Bachelor degree or above in mechanical engineering, food science, computer science and any other technology disciplines
• Minimum five years working experience in finance, tax or other related areas, experience in R&D projects and familiar with R&D project procedure
• Strong project managing and tracking skills, able to control the project risk, independent working ability on multi projects
• Fluent in oral and written English
• Preferably with overseas study or working experience
• Being interested in being a professional in Big Four conducting technical consultation work
