Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Químico Farmacéutico to join our team in Bogotá, Colombia for our client in Texas, USA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and dispensing medications, providing expert advice to patients, and ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Patient Consultation: Provide expert advice to patients on the proper use of medications, possible side effects, and drug interactions. Offer guidance on over-the-counter (OTC) products.
- Inventory Management: Maintain and manage pharmaceutical inventory, ensuring that stock levels are adequate and that medications are stored correctly and securely.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all Colombian health regulations (e.g., INVIMA) and legal requirements related to pharmaceutical practice, including controlled substances.
- Prescription Verification: Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness, addressing any discrepancies or issues with prescribers as necessary.
- Pharmacovigilance: Monitor and report adverse drug reactions (ADRs) to the relevant authorities as per local regulations.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Continuing Education: Stay current with developments in the pharmaceutical field, including new medications, technologies, and changes in local regulations.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and treatment outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (Química Farmacéutica) or related field.
- Valid tarjeta profesional (professional license) from the Colegio Nacional de Químicos Farmacéuticos de Colombia.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in pharmaceutical software systems.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
- Advanced knowledge of pharmacology and drug interactions.
- Fluency in English is a plus.
- Competitive salary within the range of COP 2,000,000 - 4,000,000.
