Your tasks in detail:
- Claims handling: independently review, process and adjudicate claims in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Customer Communication: Professional and empathetic communication with customers to clarify their concerns and offer solutions.
- Data analysis: Analyzing claims data to identify trends, risks and potential for improvement in the processes.
- Collaboration: Working closely with internal departments such as underwriting, legal and customer service to ensure smooth claims handling.
- Documentation: Careful documentation of all relevant information and decisions related to claims.
- Training and Support: Supporting and training new employees in claims processing and management.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess risks associated with claims and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ability to speak and write in English and Brazilian Portuguese fluently
- Formal education in Finance and Accounting is an added advantage
- Experience in invoice handling
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information in a simple manner
- Team Player, Ability to handle and work under pressure
- Confident in the use of common software applications and experience with claims management systems, e.g. SAP
