Group Staff Functions > CEO > Corporate Strategy

Corporate Strategy works closely with Vestas' CEO and Executive Management to orchestrate Vestas' strategic planning and enables execution of strategic projects to ensure Vestas' future efficiency. Corporate Strategy is globally engaged across the value chain and works with a high level of autonomy, responsibility, exposure and focus from top management.

Responsibilities

Team is responsible for, and this role will contribute to:

Supporting and facilitating Vestas' annual strategic planning process, formulating Vestas' business plan culminating in the yearly Strategy Seminar with the Board of Directors
Driving highest-stakes strategic projects and supporting alignment on key cross-functional initiatives
Supporting the executive leadership team business area regions in formulating strategies and priorities
Facilitating and preparing of Extended Leadership Team (top 80) meetings and seminars
Documenting strategic progressfor the Board of Directors

Qualifications

Experience from management consulting, strategy consulting or large in-house consulting, working with business analysis, strategy development/implementation and market intelligence
Demonstrated understanding of industry complexity from a financial, competitive, commercial, operational, technological, and regulatory perspective
Experience from working in a complex, international corporate culture
Relevant education at Master level
Master English orally and in written. Other languages are desirable

Competencies

Comfortable interacting with senior and executive management; directing decisions and guiding complex discussions in an efficient, fact-based manner
Structured way of working and ability to set the agenda and keep the overview in a complex and high pace organization
Strategic mindset with excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Established skills in top-down communication (verbal, written and graphical communication skills)
Pragmatic and capable of actively steering problem solving and communication with some support
High drive and self-motivation combined with high ethical and compliance standards
Empathetic with great interpersonal skills, culture affinity and an open, straightforward, and unpretentious style

The corporate strategy team is a small team with high motivation and positive spirits.
After 2-4 years in Corporate Strategy, we generally see our colleagues moving into other areas of Vestas' global operations and working even closer with the day-to-day progress of the strategy.
