What is in it for you
You will join our Market Risk team currently consisting of 4 Market Risk Analysts and 1 Student Assistant. The main responsibilities are to identify, measure and monitor risks, which are key contributors to the decision-making of our Freight Traders. And besides this to not only report risks but to challenge Freight Traders when decisions are made.
Further, the Market Risk team is a part of the Risk Management department, consisting of around 12 colleagues from various educational backgrounds and nationalities, working on sanctions risk, security risk, credit risk, and with a continued development of our internally developed risk system. We also monitor fuel oil and emissions risks for all the commercial departments.

The tasks that await you
As our future Market Risk Analyst, you will, together with the rest of the team, be responsible for tasks such as:

• Carrying out mark-to-market assessments of our forward position.
  

• Reporting risk use, monitoring risk limits and advising freight traders on risk optimization.
  

• Providing regular and ad hoc analysis to freight traders and management.
  

• Ensuring our Power BI reports are up to date, always reflecting the needs of our organisation.
  

Your competencies and core qualifications
We are looking for a curious colleague. To thrive in this position, you should be able to tick off the following:

• You recently graduated or have a few years of experience in Risk Management or a related field.
  

• You excel at conveying analyses in a straightforward and easily understandable way.
  

• You hold a master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, economics, finance or similar.
  

• You are analytical by nature and possess good analytical skills in general.
  

• You have a commercial mindset, meaning that you can relate technical elements to a business setting.
  

You will enroll in a team who are responsible for risk management of all NORDEN's business units worldwide and you can expect some traveling to our offices abroad.
You will report directly to the Head of Risk Management.
