About the role:

Our Data Engineering team is very diverse and consists of 18 experienced colleagues from different backgrounds and nationalities distributed across 3 different locations. We work in different functional teams aimed at developing data foundations for various domains, but we have a common craftsmanship, and we are committed to knowledge sharing and defining best practices.

Your responsibilities in the team may include:

• Play a significant role in transforming and extending our internal developer guides and documentation.

• Write, update or enhance the existing documentation and keep it up to date with the new features developed in the platform.

• Assistance with our development framework in DBT (Data Build Tool) including model updates, bug fixes, testing and package development.

• Contribute to our centralized data-lake house architecture by extending our ELT pipelines.

• Participate in maturing our Apache Airflow deployments, a platform for developing, scheduling, and monitoring batch-oriented workflows in Python.

• Assist in building monitoring dashboards in Power BI and/or Grafana cloud.

About you

• are currently pursuing bachelor's or master's degree in software engineering, computer science or related field with at least 2 semesters remaining.

• Have a “can-do”-attitude, an eagerness to learn and motivation to grow your skills to the next level.

• Have knowledge of scripting languages like Python, SQL or other computer programming languages.

• Have explored your craftmanship outside of the classroom environment having experience building and documenting software through eg. an internship, hackathon, research project or related.

• Are able to engage, coordinate, and collaborate activities within and across different teams.

• Are available 2-3 days a week

Knowledge and experience with all the following technologies and architectures are not a requirement but we do expect that you have an interest in or willingness to learn most of them:

• Python, SQL

• AWS (S3, Redshift, RDS)

• Docker and Kubernetes

• Microservices using REST API & Event-Driven architectures.

• Relational databases, e.g. MS SQL Server

• Azure Dev Ops and Git

• Visualization (Grafana, Power BI)
