We have very successfully reopened the newly renovated Kirkens Korshær thrift shop on Vennemindevej. The customers are beyond happy and we are a group of volunteers who are passionate about the store and want to invite in more volunteers.
OBS: Basic danish languagle skille are required for this position.

Obs: we have info meetings on wednesday the 20'th of october and the 20'th of november, between 10.00 and 11.30 - in danish: ) Swing by and see for yourself - we talk about the shop, they daily tasks, and whom the profit is benefitting through the social work of the NGO.

As a volunteer with us, it is the desire that drives the work, because volunteering is about quality of life. This is an obvious opportunity for a meaningful and rewarding anchor point in the week.

That's why we're looking for more volunteers - is that you?

As a volunteer, you join on or more of our daily teams and are in the store at 12-17.

However, we have a clear expectation that in the near future we will be able to stay open a little longer from 10-17. and thus could divide the day into two different shifts, of 3 to 4 hours instead of the current 5 hours. So don't hesitate to get in touch, even if you think 5 hours sounds like a lot!

We provide:

• Beautiful, newly renovated and cozy surroundings
• Introduction and training in the tasks - including customer service, sorting donations, pricing, hanging goods, etc.
• That you are comfortable with everything and are always in the store with others
• That you become part of our lovely social community with other enthusiasts
• Ongoing social and professional events and opportunities. Both locally with the store, and regionally and nationally with the organization Kirkens Korshær.
• Good communication. We hold meetings and delegate posts so that together we lift the store.
• Recycling manager and volunteer coordinator located in Copenhagen, who are available with help and guidance when the need arises.

You are:

• At least 18 years old
• Someone who weekly has approx. 5 hours on hand that you would like to put into a piece of meaningful volunteer work.
• Thrives with mixed hands-on work, including sorting donations, primary king, hanging merchandise, occasional cleaning, and more. Are you limited e.g. physically, so still write - then we can find a solution for you.
• Perhaps someone with a particular interest in specific goods, e.g. leather, electronics, yarn, games, books, antiques, jewelry, or anything else. That interest is worth its weight in gold for us and the store, as your knowledge raises the quality.
