OBS: This position reguires basic danish language skills, so you may are able to comunicate with the costumers and your collegues - but from here and onward you will gain moderate to advanced skills in danish language, as you will use it and improve it: )

As a volunteer with us, it is the desire that drives the work, because volunteering is about quality of life. This is an obvious opportunity for a meaningful and rewarding anchor point during the week.

We reopened our recycling shop on Vennemindevej on Tuesday 28'th of november, and delivered record sales the following days - in our beautiful renovated shop. We clearly feel that recycling is incredibly popular, and we have many customers in the store every day.

And we simply need you - because we want to be able to prolong our opening ours even more than we do now.

That's why we're looking for more volunteers - is that you?

As a volunteer, you join on or more of our daily team and are in the store at 12-17.

However, we have a clear expectation that in the near future we will be able to stay open from 10-17. and thus could divide the day into two different shifts, of 3 to 4 hours instead of the current 5 hours. So don't hesitate to get in touch, even if you think 5 hours sounds like a lot!

We provide:

• Beautiful newly renovated and cozy surroundings
• Introduction and training in the tasks - including customer service, sorting donations, primary king, hanging goods, etc.
• That you are comfortable with everything and are always in the store with others
• That you become part of our lovely social community with other enthusiasts
• Ongoing social and professional events and opportunities. Both locally with the store, and regionally and nationally with the organization Kirkens Korshær.
• Good communication. We hold meetings and delegate posts so that together we manage the store.
• Recycling manager and volunteer coordinator located in Copenhagen, who are available with help and guidance when the need arises.

You are:

• Between 18 and 110 years
• Someone who weekly has approx. 5 hours on hand that you would like to put into a piece of meaningful volunteer work.
• Thrives with mixed hands-on work, including sorting donations, primary king, hanging merchandise, occasional cleaning, and more. Are you limited e.g. physically, so still write - then we can find a solution for you.
• Perhaps someone with a particular interest in specific goods, e.g. leather, electronics, yarn, games, books, antiques, jewelry, or anything else. That interest is worth its weight in gold for us and the store, as your knowledge raises the quality.
