About STA

STA is a young and dynamic NGO based in Søborg Gladsaxe, close to both Nørrebro and Lyngby. We work to improve the quality of life in East Africa through our WASH projects (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), which ensure access to clean water, sanitary facilities and hygiene education. In addition, we build toilets, hold workshops on safe spaces for women and create initiatives that promote equality and safety for vulnerable groups in local communities.
Your role in the fundraising group
As a volunteer fund-seeker, you will become an important part of our fundraising team. Your tasks will include be:
Writing applications: Prepare precise and convincing fund applications in both Danish and English. You will present our projects in a clear and engaging way, including applications to CISU and other relevant funds.
Research and strategy : Identify new funding opportunities and develop strategies to increase our chances of successful fundraising.
Collaboration and coordination : Work closely with the rest of the fundraising team to ensure a coherent and targeted approach to fund applications.
Follow-up and reporting : Ensure that deadlines are met and follow up on ongoing applications as well as prepare necessary reports for funds.
Who are you?
A strong writer with the ability to write in both Danish and English.
Experience or interest in fundraising and project applications, preferably in the NGO sector.
Detail-oriented and thorough in your approach to both research and writing.
Strategic thinker and good at tailoring applications to specific funds' requirements.
A team player who is good at collaborating with other volunteers and ensuring a coordinated effort.
Passionate about development work and eager to make a real difference for women and vulnerable groups in East Africa.
