Based in Egypt, the Corporate Services Lead will be responsible for all local regulatory activities including directorship services, HR/payroll administration, accounting and tax compliance. This is a unique opportunity to join a global team of corporate services professionals and develop experience across multiple back-office functions.

Job Summary

• Manage all tax compliance obligations and filing requirements for the Egypt legal entity, including:

• Egypt VAT returns, WHT filings and issuance of certificates, annual corporate tax return and tax provisions.

• Preparation of bank payments including arranging signatures and visits to the bank.

• Tax account general ledger reconciliations and turnover reconciliations with timely investigation and clearance of reconciling items.

• Support the accounting and audit process for Tax liabilities/receivables for financial reporting.

• Support handling of any tax audits and enquiries.

• Support Global Legal and HR teams with local country administration including:

• Local Directorship services

• Translation and update of documents into Arabic/English.

• Arranging for in country signatures and shipment of documents.

• Obtaining references for Bank, Visa, and Social Insurance.

• Completion of new starter forms and documents and consult with external payroll provider.

• Support Global Accounting team with the annual statutory audit and financial statements completion.
• Support other adhoc Corporate services tasks/projects as needed including identifying and implementing process improvements or managing new local regulatory requirements.
• Support with local country advisory matters including tax and employment law, consulting with external advisors where appropriate.
• Ensure adherence to internal control requirements of the Company.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting and/or tax qualifications with significant Egypt tax experience gained with a leading accountancy firm or an in-house multinational tax team.
• Strong Arabic and English language skills
• HR/Payroll experience is a bonus.
• Experience/willingness to provide local directorship services is beneficial.
• Organised and methodical individual, with the ability to plan and organise work effectively, delivering to deadlines.
• Excellent communicator, both verbally and written, adopting the most appropriate medium for the situation.
• Analytical, innovative, with good research and critical thinking skills.
