We are looking for a Finance Development Controller to join our Financial Services in Helsinki.
Finance Development controller role is a finance expert role that includes process, tools, data and continuous development in ways of working and support in strategic projects. Finance development controller is responsible of selected development items or smaller projects and supports large and/or strategic projects. The role is involved in large scale in different finance and controlling processes, internal controls and data related topics across VR business units and functions. Finance Development Controller has a large stakeholder network and operates closely with IT development teams.

Main responsibilities include:

• Provide technical accounting knowledge, data understanding, controlling perspective and project management skills to continuous development and projects
• Ensure end-to-end process view and interconnections between processes and teams
• Develop, document and automate processes across VR and within Finance processes
• Take project management role in selected projects or project areas
• This role offers you the opportunity to play a key role in creating innovative solutions that help our organization utilize data more effectively and intelligently. The tasks include designing and developing new data tools in collaboration with other teams, utilizing Power BI.
• Providing technical support and organizing training sessions for the use of data tools
• Support management in road map developments and resourcing plans
• Support and ensure implementation of changes including training materials and trainings

You have

• M.Sc. in Finance/Accounting/Economics or similar
• A curious and holistic approach, always eager to understand the broader context.
• You are pro-active, flexible and have a critical mindset and a hands-on attitude.
• Excellent problem solving and multi-tasking skills required
• Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them through to completion
• Genuine interest in understanding finance systems and developing them
• Digital mindset – you inspire others to adopt digital practices and promote digital mindset in our organisation
• Knowledge of SAP, HFM and Power BI is a plus.
• Good communication skills with capability to communicate own area of expertise in different formats.
• Fluent written and spoken Finnish and English skills, Swedish is an asset
