We are now seeking a highly skilled and experienced IVF Laboratory Manager to join our dynamic team.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced IVF Laboratory Manager to oversee our cutting-edge laboratory operations. The successful candidate will ensure the highest standards of laboratory practice, manage a team of skilled embryologists, and drive continuous improvement in our IVF processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the IVF laboratory, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Supervise and mentor a team of embryologists and laboratory technicians, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Oversee all aspects of embryology and andrology services, including gamete handling, fertilization, embryo culture, cryopreservation, and embryo transfer.
- Develope and implement laboratory protocols and procedures to optimize success rates and maintain high-quality outcomes.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all laboratory activities, maintaining meticulous records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in reproductive technology and integrate new techniques and practices as appropriate.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
- Participate in patient consultations and provide expert advice on laboratory-related aspects of treatment plans.
- Lead quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory performance and patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Reproductive Biology, Clinical Embryology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an IVF laboratory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IVF laboratory techniques and procedures, including micromanipulation, ICSI, and vitrification. Blastocyst biopsy is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of laboratory practice.
- Proficiency in laboratory information management systems and other relevant software.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Finnish is highly desirable.
