Project Electrical Engineer, RMG Cranes

We are now looking for a Project Electrical Engineer to join our Business Line RMG cranes and participate in diverse RMG cranes delivery projects all over the world! Sounds like something exciting? Konecranes is a known supplier of RMG (Rail Mounted Gantry) Cranes, with world leading technology in container handling. Business Line RMG is responsible for RMG crane deliveries with profit & loss responsibility of entire RMG business. We offer and deliver RMG cranes to our customers around the world and work in close cooperation with Port Cranes functions (Sales, PMO, Technology and Supply) to fulfil our customers’ expectations on-time & on budget.

Project Electrical Engineer is responsible for electrical design of RMG cranes in delivery projects in close cooperation with Chief Electrical Engineer.

This position is based in Hyvinkää, Finland – but it goes without saying that the remote & hybrid working is a part of our modern ways of working.


Your key responsibilities:

• Execute the delivery project design
• Coordinate the delivery project with other stakeholders in the project team according to the project requirements
• Support sales in RMG crane offering and sales cases
• Support electrical/automation related product management and development tasks in cooperation with Chief Electrical Engineer and Product Manager

What should you bring:

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree from the area of electrical engineering
• Experience in electrical engineering and engineering management
• Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations associated to electrical engineering and control systems
• Good problem-solving skills
• Target oriented mindset and strong can-do attitude
• Fluent English skills, Finnish is a strong advantage
• Willingness to travel (20-30 days annually)
