Your role and responsibilities
As Sales Manager at ABB Robotics in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, you will be responsible of leading the sales growth and profitability of our Robotics portfolio in Finland. You will be a key player in creating and implementing the sales strategy, ensuring short-and long-term growth together with your team of Sales Engineers. A coaching and collaborative mindset is essential to reach success in this position, both in terms of motivating and inspiring the sales team and by being a collaborative leader amongst your peers. You will also operatively drive sales and have the responsibility for a few accounts. In this role, you will report to the Cluster Head of Nordics driven from Sweden and sit in that management team, and in parallel you will be hosted by the ABB Oy Country Head and be responsible for Robotics Finland. The work model for the role is: #LI-hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: • Leading and developing the talented and dynamic sales team. Supporting the team, providing guidance and motivation to enhance overall performance • Setting sales targets, following up the team’s performance and coaching your team members • Developing both direct and indirect sales channels • Building and maintaining outstanding customer relationships, also by operative work and by managing your own accounts • Being an ABB Robotics Finland representative which mean that you will be part of the country management team • Building and implementing the local strategy
Qualifications for the role

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in discrete industry is essential
  • Possessing an enhanced knowledge of robotics or similar business is relevant
  • Ability to demonstrate your understanding of customer needs and experience working in the customer interface is essential
  • Proven experience of the Finnish market and channel development is essential
  • Fluent in Finnish and in English, and enjoy communicating with people
  • You are culturally sensitive, stress-tolerant and flexible
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or in automation is essential
  • Advanced skills in Salesforce.com or other customer relationship management (CRM) system
  • Willingness to travel around 80 days a year, mostly within Finland, and a valid driver’s license
