We are now looking for experienced SAP Platform Manager to be the core player of our SAP Center of Excellence and take our daily platform activities to the next level. The role is permanent and located in Espoo or Turku offices in Finland, and our team follows Orion's hybrid mode of working.
Orion Corporation is currently transforming its ERP and Planning platforms to benefit from the latest SAP S/4HANA -technologies. The implementation phase will be finalized during 2024 and we are currently setting up the midsize SAP Co E team to run and develop the platform.
Description of position
In this role you will have key position to guide and lead our multivendor ecosystem, cooperate with our IT service managers and Solution leads support us through our journey to SAP S/4HANA and beyond.
Your main responsibilities include:

• Manage and support our SAP BASIS area with the respective vendor(s)
• Ensure S/4 Hana core solution is maintained and developed with best practice solutions
• Develop and manage SAP release management practicalities. This includes the planning, scheduling, coordinating, and overall management of the delivery lifecycle.
• Manage and support the usage of Solution manager in background activities
• Manage SAP technology life cycle management in collaboration with other IT leads
• Follow the trends in the SAP latest technologies and plan the roadmap for Orion together with other IT leads (ie. FIORI, SAP BTP services, AI)
• Mentor and develop the technical skillset of other functional team members and IT colleagues in the SAP area
• Manage our SAP Cloud capacity and licensing
• Work with other application and integration experts to ensure integrations (from/to SAP) are performing as expected
• Collaborate with other teams, e.g. IT architects, Infrastructure & Cloud team, Reporting & Integrations team

Requirements
Skills and competences needed for this role:

• Suitable university degree and/or other relevant working experience in SAP platform area
• Several years of experience in SAP Basis and infrastructure
• Knowing SAP S/4 Hana ecosystem and technical solution designs
• Good understanding of SAPs product portfolio and latest technologies
• Experience of SAP release management and Solution manager practicalities
• Experience of vendor/service management
• Fluent communication in English
