Duties

• Performs financial analyst work for an Armed Forces Recreation Center's food and beverage and retail operations in order to properly account and safeguard assets from waste, loss or unaccountability of goods used to generate revenue for operations.
• Duties involve exercising review of procedures and the control of inventory, food and beverage cost analysis; variance analysis, sensitive item inventory control and analysis; scheduling and payroll cost analysis; internal control analysis for point of sale systems, inventory and beverage control systems, and reporting.
• Provide advisory services to operating managers and members of management.
• Gathers data, researches records; reviews reports, various financial statements, invoices and inventory records to gather data.
• Observes and analyzes operations, organization, supervisory controls, work processes, methods and procedures to recommend improvements to revenue generation, better controls of costs and customer satisfaction.
• Identifies imbalances and recommends corrective action.
• Assist in month end closings by supporting in taking physical inventories, ensuring inventory is accurate, timeliness are met, preparing journal entries and schedules, F&B cost calculations, labor expense and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Reviews the profit and loss statement discrepancies and correct them before closing the month.
• Assist with forecasting and budgeting.
