Summary:
The work schedule for this position is:

Duties

The Transmitter Maintenance Supervisor is a critical role responsible for ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of broadcasting infrastructure. Overseeing and leading a team of five Radio Technicians and one Transmitter Technician Mechanic, the supervisor is tasked with maintaining transmitters and ancillary systems to the highest standards, developing routine maintenance
schedules, and leading swift responses to technical issues. This role demands strong leadership, the provision of training, and the adaptation to emergency situations, ensuring minimal broadcast disruption. Additionally, the incumbent steps in as the Transmitter Plant Supervisor in their absence, underscoring the need for a versatile, technically adept individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to maintaining operational excellence in a high-pressure environment.


Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:

  • Five (5) years of experience in equipment, operations, and maintenance of high-power shortwave transmitting facility, or similar is required. One (1) year of supervisory experience is required,

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Optional: This is not required, but if used, derive from Section 15e of PD. The more information post adds to this field, the more in depth the qualification process becomes. HR will be required to qualify applicants from all information that is added.

Education Requirements:
Mandatory: Completion of secondary school required plus an apprenticeship in the radio/electronic communications field required.

  • English (Fluent) in speaking/reading/writing is required.

This may be tested.
