We are looking for a BI Engineer who will be responsible for designing, building, and managing the data architecture, pipelines, and systems that enable data acquisition, storage, processing, and analysis within an organization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data and reporting requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations, using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources to populate data warehouses or data marts.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
• Optimize and tune BI queries and data models for performance and efficiency.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across BI solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation for BI solutions, including data dictionaries, technical specifications, and user guides.
• Provide training and support to end users on BI tools and solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts, to deliver comprehensive BI solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Computer Science or Electronics or equivalent work experience in the field of Data.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role (7+ preferred, 3-5 preferred for junior role).
• Knowledge of BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Shiny.
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, negotiation, presentation skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Keen eye on detail.
• Ability in decision making, problem analysis and problem solving.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Problem solving attitude.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment.
• Passionate about agile software processes, data driven development, reliability, and experimentation and experience working in a collaborative Agile product team will be considered as extra assets.
• Banking Experience will be considered as an asset
• Fluent in English. Other languages a plus.
