As part of its development, Volton is expanding its Renewable Energy Sources team and seeks for a Junior RES Business Development Engineer.
The Junior Renewable Energy Sources (RES) Business Development Engineer role involves the support in all stages of the permitting process of RES projects, while participating in monitoring and researching of the Greek market to identify opportunities for new projects. The ideal candidate will also be part of a team, which is responsible for the management of the renewable assets of the company, by overseeing the technical and financial performance of them.

The ideal candidate will also be part of a team, which is responsible for the management of the renewable assets of the company, by overseeing the technical and financial performance of them.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development process of RES projects
- Monitor the RES regulatory framework
- Follow and analyze the trends and developments in the RES market in Greece
- Assist in managing the RES assets of the company (wind and photovoltaics)
- Monitor the O&M services and reports and evaluates the expected project performance
- Support the assessment and planning procedure of potential new projects
- Oversee due diligence and other data / information gathering efforts of potential targets
- Cooperate and follow up with authorities, internal and external experts for the projects’ licensing procedure to be finalized
- Maintain accurate document records of each project
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is prerequisite
- Master’s degree in Economics or Energy or an MBA will be considered a plus
- 1-2 years of experience in RES projects development and/or RES O&M will be considered a plus
- Basic knowledge of the technical aspects of a RES project (PV, Wind, Storage)
- Basic understanding of developing RES projects
- Excellent use of MS Office Suite
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
