We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Data and Analytics Engineer to join our growing team.
The role is based in Group’s HQ Offices, at Spata, Athens International Airport “El. Venizelos”
The Challenge
As a Data and Analytics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our data systems and infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, establish data governance, and ensure the quality and reliability of our data assets and analytics. The Challenge
As a Data and Analytics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our data systems and infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, establish data governance, and ensure the quality and reliability of our data assets and analytics. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the data architecture strategy and drive data-driven decision-making within our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable and efficient data architecture solutions that support business objectives
- Collaborate with business users across all operational fields and with our partners and consultants to understand data requirements and design and implement the optimum solution
- Support the maintenance of our data infrastructures
- Collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing data to ensure its quality and reliability to build solutions.
- Use exploratory analysis methodologies to identify patterns and trends to use with the right statistical methods (clustering, PCA, regression, significance testing).
- Work with descriptive and predictive analytics (e.g. linear regression & propensity models, customer segmentation, data mining and trigger identification).
- Define and implement data governance and data management best practices
- Evaluate and select appropriate data technologies and tools where this is required
- Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant security practices and regulations
- Optimize data storage, integration, and processing to improve performance
- Create and maintain documentation of data architecture and processes
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to business users.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field
- A Master’s degree in Data Science or related field will be considered as a plus
- Excellent knowledge of database design, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts
- Experience with database technologies (SQL and No SQL), ETL processes, and data integration tools
- Proficiency in SQL and Python programming skills, including working knowledge of data manipulation and machine learning libraries
- · Experience with data platforms and analysis and representation platforms (such as Azure, Power BI, Targit BI)
- Strong statistical knowledge and experience in applying statistical and ML solutions to real-world business problems
- Experience in data preprocessing – cleaning
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including internal teams and end-users, technical consultants and project managers, and to manage multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, facilitating effective collaboration with stakeholders and with ability to influence and challenge options
