We are seeking a talented and ambitious Supply Chain Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role you will collaborate with all the Business Units and the Operations Team to develop and implement the supply chain strategy of the company in order to maximize efficiency and productivity. Your role will require both hands-on expertise and creative problem-solving, as well as a deep understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes. Collaborating closely with Design Engineers, Production Engineers, and external suppliers, you will help deliver products that meets the rigorous requirements of our clients in the Industrial, Space, and Defence markets.
This position offers full-time employment and is based in Athens, Greece.

Responsibilities:
As a Supply Chain Engineer at Adamant Composites, you will be expected to:
- Undertake procurement activities and ensure timely supply of raw materials and components, required for the implementation of the company’s activities and deliverables.
- Monitor the progress of ongoing orders - Conduct inspections of manufacturing work at our suppliers/subcontractor sites.
- Participate in incoming inspections of materials/equipment at our suppliers’ sites, when needed.
- Coordinate and cooperate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the product development process.
- Support the logistics of the supply such as arranging for transportation (both domestic and internation) and customs clearance.
- Collaborate in the product design cycle by providing input regarding the capabilities of our suppliers, as well as consulting them to help improve the Design for Manufacturing/ Design for Assembly aspects of our work.
- Perform sizing calculations to assist in the selection of catalogue parts and equipment (eg electro-mechanical equipment) and carry out the relevant procurements.
- Maintain, organize, and update relevant product documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of manufacturing and assembly drawings, (both mechanical and electrical), as well as other technical documentation.
- Support Product Assurance activities (eg obtain from suppliers proper certifications and other quality/technical documentation for the purchased items)
- Collaborate with the Operations Team regarding the schedule of incoming deliveries, handling and storage requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers/technicians
- Report to the Chief Operations Officer
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- At least 1 year of experience in a position relavant to Supply Chain / Procurements, preferably in the aerospace/defence industry.
- Technical school diploma in Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a relevant field (A 3-year or 5-year degree in a relevant principle will be considered a plus).
- Understanding of manufacturing processes for metallic parts and structures, such as machining, welding. Familiarity with composite materials manufacturing and/or supply chain will be considering a big advantage.
- Working knowledge of CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, Solid Works)
- Experience in collaborating with external suppliers and manufacturers, (eg CNC workshops) is considered a plus.
- Strong critical thinking skills, with a focus on error prevention and effective problem-solving.
- Attention to detail – Focused on delivery
- Excellent interpersonal relation skills
- Strong teamwork capabilities, including taking joint responsibility for team successes or shortcomings and the ability to work independently.
- Very good command of the English language.
- A passionate drive to make a significant impact.
- Experience in the Aerospace and/or Defence industry.
- Familiarity with composite materials
- Interaction with CNC machining workshops and similar suppliers
