About the role
There is currently a job opening “Tooling Coordinator” in the Stores Department. As a Tooling Coordinator you will be responsible to ensure that all tools are well maintained and in a good condition in collaboration with production, based on company’s and international standards and regulations. If you wish to have a key role in supporting production and maintaining operational efficiency, this role is for you.

What you will do:

• Verify all tooling and GSE are always serviceable, monitoring function requirements and reporting replenishment needs or disposition actions.
• Monitor tooling/GSE inspection, calibration, proof load, and functional check intervals.
• Manage the usage of tooling/GSE and declare setup processes, updating relevant information in the electronic database.
• Maintain an organized filing system for all manuals in electronic format for easy access and permanent record-keeping.
• Ensure proper tagging, labeling, and certification of tools for issue or shipment.
• Prioritize repair orders for tools and GSE.
• Issue tools according to maintenance schedules, ensuring timely and efficient returns.
• Evaluate tooling orders to determine whether to manufacture in-house or procure from vendors.
• Prepare requisitions for purchased items.
• Interface with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments for tool selection and material procurement.
• Execute inventory stock control and report low or nil stock items to purchasing.
• Document discrepancies observed during equipment usage and inform repair administrators accordingly.
• Reposition tools/equipment based on storage needs.
• Process non-conforming tooling through the inventory system and coordinate with departments for parts’ requirements or arrange for scrapping or return to vendors.

You fit, if you cover the following requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, relevant technical studies or certification is a plus
• Proven experience in operating material handling equipment i.e. forklift, pallet jacks, will be considered an asset
• Experience of Tooling equipment will be considered an asset
• Adequate knowledge in oral and written English
• Knowledge of MS Office
