Administrative Assistant (New Capital Investment Entrant Scheme Office)(Ref: AA/01/2024)

(b) (i) Level 2 or equivalent (see Note (a)) or above in five subjects including Mathematics in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) (see Note (b)), or equivalent; or
(ii) Level 2 (see Note (c))/ Grade E or above in five subjects including Mathematics in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) (see Note (b)), or equivalent;
(c) Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 (see Note (c)) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent;
(d) Proficiency in English and Chinese word processing, and knowledge in the application of common business software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point; and
(e) A good command of both written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) and English.
(b) The subjects may include Chinese Language and English Language.
(c) “Grade E” in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 2” in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
Duties
(a) To assist in registration of New CIES applications and input of application data;
(b) To assist in preliminary processing of New CIES applications;
(c) To assist in processing the supplementary information and/or supporting documents from the applicants;
(d) To assist in administrative work of the New CIES Office including clerical support, records management, logistic arrangements, etc.;
(e) To assist in manning hotline and reception counter, and handling simple enquiries; and
(f) To perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers.
(b) Applicant appointed will be granted 14 days of annual leave and the entitlement of annual leave will be calculated on pro-rata basis for appointment less than 12 months. Other benefits, such as rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity/ paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted mainly in line with the provisions of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance.

(e) Where a large number of applicants meet the specified entry requirements, the recruiting department may devise shortlisting criteria to select the better qualified applicants for further processing. In these circumstances, only shortlisted applicants will be invited to recruitment examination and/or interview.
(f) It is Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a disabled applicant meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the selection interview/ written examination without being subject to any further shortlisting. Applicants who have declared disabilities found suitable for appointment may be given an appropriate degree of preference over other applicants whose suitability for appointment is considered comparable to that of the former. The Government policy and other related measures on employment of persons with disabilities are set out in the booklet “Employ People Based on Their Abilities – Application for Government Jobs by Persons with Disabilities” which is available for reference on the Civil Service Bureau’s website at http://www.csb.gov.hk under “Administration of the Civil Service – Appointments”.
(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. They should submit copies of their official transcripts and certificates by e-mail.
Applications submitted through other channels or late submission will not be processed.
As interview invitation(s) or other notification(s) will be sent to applicants by email, applicants should provide an accurate email address in their application. Applicants are responsible for checking their emails to ensure that interview invitation(s) or other notification(s) could be duly received.
