The Hong Kong Sports Institute Limited (“HKSI”) is the Government’s delivery agent to provide the high performance training system for eligible sports. The HKSI’s mission is to provide an environment in which sports talent can be identified, nurtured and developed to pursue excellence in the international sporting arena benchmarked at Major Games results. We are now inviting suitable candidates for the following vacancy:

The Job

Reporting to the High Performance Administration Manager,the Assistant High Performance Administration Manager will be responsible for the following duties:

• To provide input to the proposal, implementation and evaluation of the Elite Training Programmes/ Initiatives and support to elite athletes;
• To assist Elite Coaching Department in the development and implementation of Elite Training Programmes and High Performance Objectives;
• To coordinate the administration and funding of the Elite Coaching Departments, ensuring the effective use of various resources according to value-for-money principles;
• To coordinate with NSAs on programme planning and effective resources allocation for the Elite Training Programmes;
• To coordinate and provide regular updates on the Elite Vote Support System for Elite Sports;
• To administer the Direct Financial Support schemes for athletes and various funding programmes for NSAs under HKSI’s system;
• To coordinate with other internal departments and outside organizations on support to Elite Sports and athletes;
• To perform any other appropriate duties as assigned by the supervisor.

The Requirements

• A university degree;
• A minimum of 4 years' relevant working experience or equivalent;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese;
• High level of computer literacy; and
• Awareness/ knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage.
