Impact HK is a non-profit that provides the homeless in Hong Kong with friendship, food, shelter, education and jobs. It believes in the power of kindness in tackling the pressing problem of homelessness in Hong Kong. Every day Impact HK is on the streets supporting the homeless with essentials, building trust and friendships. These friendships open doors towards housing, job creation, sports, counselling, mentorship and nutrition programmes which empower our beneficiaries with pride, health and happiness. It is an innovative and dynamic organisation that has helped more than 180 people into shelter in just three years and supported many more with employment opportunities. It has a core team of eleven staff, as well as employing ten formerly homeless individuals full time.

Job Duties

Oversee employment program projects, ensuring they meet the employment needs and standards for the homeless community.

Assist with integrating principles and enacting initiatives within the Integrated Employment Programme.

Develop, plan, coordinate, and implement strategies to maximize client benefits through the Integrated Employment Programme.

Identify gaps in services and community resources to refine program design, supporting sustainable transformations for users.

Establish and maintain partnerships with NGOs, the commercial sector, and related entities, sharing best practices to enhance the employment program.

Prepare comprehensive proposals and reports, maintain transparent communication with grant funders by reporting progress and outcomes accurately.

Actively offer opinions and ideas to the Head of Programmes to adapt to the program's evolving needs.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) or in a related field

Minimum 3 years solid experience in employment counselling and work skills training, preferably in the NGO sector

Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese

In-depth knowledge and experience in social welfare services, with a focus on employment service concepts

Demonstrates compassion and empathy towards the homeless and underprivileged in Hong Kong

Exhibits strong leadership with a compassionate and caring approach toward team members

Possesses excellent interpersonal skills, can work well independently and as an enthusiastic team player

Proactive, creative, and innovative in problem-solving and communication

Exceptional ability to identify social resources and recognize the strengths of clients

Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Power Point
