Assistant Vice President, Core Compliance

Main Purpose of Role:
Core Compliance activities across APAC for MUFG Securities.
Principal Duties:
- APAC regulatory change
- Compliance implementation / ad-hoc projects
- Licensing
- Support coverage for APAC Control Room
- Policies, Procedures, Training
- Assist in Business / Product Advisory
- Issues Management
Key Skills:
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience in international banks operating in key APAC markets.
- Good knowledge of Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australian securities regulation mandatory.
- A good understanding of the key regulatory risk drivers, and supervisory / enforcement priorities for the SFC and MAS.
- Experience managing conflicts of interest associated with DCM, Syndicated Loans, Structured, and ABS transactions.
- Fluent written and spoken English language ability is mandatory.
- Experience of Japanese, and other regulatory regimes beyond Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia highly beneficial.
- Prior Compliance project management experience highly beneficial.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Good working knowledge of representative licensing requirements in Hong Kong and Singapore.
