Responsibilities
All applications and data collected will be treated in strict confidence and used exclusively for recruitment purposes. Only short listed candidates will be invited for interview. The company will retain the applications for a maximum period of 24 months and may refer suitable candidates to other vacancies within the Group.
- Lead and manage a team of data analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations
- Provide data-driven business insights to support business units and management team to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Develop and implement data management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and usability
- Oversee the collection, cleansing, and organization of data from multiple sources, including SQL databases, cloud platforms, spreadsheets, and external data providers
- Conduct advanced data analysis and apply statistical techniques to derive meaningful insights and support business decision-making
- Generate comprehensive reports and implement data visualizations to monitor KPIs and effectively communicate insights to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver tailored analytics solutions
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data management tools, techniques, and best practices to continuously improve the team's capabilities
- Manage and maintain data infrastructure, including databases, data pipelines, and data models
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance data efficiency and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards
- Stakeholder management to ensure alignment and effective communication with all relevant parties
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a related role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position
- Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- In-depth understanding on digital analytics, well versed in tools such as Google Analytics, Firebase
- Knowledge of programming languages like Python or R for data manipulation and analysis is advantageous
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding of upcoming data innovations, machine learning, and AI-driven insights is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills in verbal and written Cantonese, English, and Mandarin
- Experience in the F&B industry is a bonus
