Design Engineer – High Voltage
FULL TIME

- Undertake technical support and design services on maintenance, asset renewal, modification, enhancement works and technological applications for railway high voltage / traction power supply and overhead line systems, including ancillary equipment and low voltage / emergency power supplies of all operational lines
- Manage major asset renewal project’s design, conduct technical / numerical studies, review consultant’s design submissions with recommendations for a safe and reliable system
- Conduct fault investigations, prepare incident/ technical reports and recommend improvement initiatives in accordance with statutory requirements and international standards
- Participate in the testing and commissioning activities of new capital / revenue works and operations projects
- Explore and implement trial of technological applications and improvement initiatives for smart maintenance and operational safety
- Prepare tender specification, support tender process and evaluation
- Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in high voltage / low voltage/traction power supply system or railway overhead line system
- Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently
- Good command of both written and spoken English & Chinese
- Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognised professional institution / Grade B0 or H0 Certificate of Registered Electrical Workers is preferred
- Appointment will be made on on-going terms or two-year renewable contract terms, which is subject to project nature
