M+ is a museum dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting visual art, design and architecture, moving image, and Hong Kong visual culture of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Located in Hong Kong’s West K, we are one of the leading museums of modern and contemporary visual culture in the world. The museum reflects our unique time and place, building on Hong Kong’s historic balance of the local and the international to define a distinctive and innovative voice for Asia’s twenty-first century.

(This is a fixed-term contract position of 2-year with possibility for renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance.)

You will be responsible for:

handling daily administrative works for event operation, including but not limited to answering phone calls and email correspondences, upkeep departmental filing and update information;
liaising with F&B counterparts, vendors and/ or suppliers and concerned departments in M+ and WKCDA to ensure smooth running of events;
preparing all necessary event co-ordination related documents for cross-departments and clients;
preparing all event materials required for hirer events;
preparing event booking reports and assist to keep the P/L record after the event finished;
maintaining good awareness of all museum programmes and communicating effectively with different stakeholders including internal departments;
collecting and analyzing market trends on a regular basis to improve the event operation process;
assisting event coordination & operation team to manage event logistics on site if required; and
performing any other duties as may direct by supervisor when necessary.

You should:

possess a recognized diploma or university degree in any discipline, preferably with a minimum 1-year relevant experience in event operation or on-site event management;
be logical, responsible, meticulous, result-oriented and a good team player;
demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility, excellent organizational and time management skills, good interpersonal abilities, and attention to detail;
good in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua; and
able to work in evenings, weekends and holidays if necessary.
