The Hong Kong Sports Institute Limited (“HKSI”) is the Government’s delivery agent to provide the high performance training system for eligible sports. The HKSI’s mission is to provide an environment in which sports talent can be identified, nurtured and developed to pursue excellence in the international sporting arena benchmarked at Major Games results. We are now inviting suitable candidates for the following vacancy:

The Job

Reporting to the Assistant Facility Manager (AFAM), the Facility Officer will be responsible for the following duties::

• To assist the AFAM to take over the new building, site setup and execute the service;;
• To assist the AFAM to supervise in-house facility management team for the day-to-day operations, including cleaning, security, pest control, horticultural services for the landscape, office relocation, venues management, and monitoring of the performance of outsourcing contractors, etc.;;
• To assist the AFAM to manage all aspects of facility management functions for Fo Tan Campus and Off-site training venues, in particular over the sports facilities and athletes’ hostel to ensure quality services being delivered;;
• To assist the AFAM to carry out related administrative duties;;
• To co-ordinate with related departments for supporting events, elite and sports training and commercial activities;;
• To act as shift-in-charge of the Section and to handle emergency matters as required;;
• To perform any other appropriate duties as assigned by supervisor.;

The Requirements

• A University Degree or Higher Diploma in Facility Management/ Property Management or other relevant disciplines;
• A minimum of 2 years’ relevant working experience in facilities management and hostel management;
• Good supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills;
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Ability to speak Putonghua is a definitely advantage;
• Proficiency in computer software applications including MS Word, Excel and Chinese Word Processing;
• Knowledge in estate management software such as Smart Facility Management System will be an advantage.
