Background

Food Angel is a food rescue and food assistance program launched in 2011 by Bo Charity Foundation with the mission of "Waste Not, Hunger Not, With Love". The program rescues edible surplus food from different sectors of the food industry that would otherwise be disposed of as waste. Following strict safety protocols, the rescued food items will then be prepared as nutritious hot meals in our central kitchens and be redistributed to serve the underprivileged communities in Hong Kong.

This position is to

Support to manage daily operations of HR

Assist to instill a strong organization culture and values to all employees.

Responsibilities

Participate in formulating and optimizing the Organization’ policies and work procedures related to people matters

Participate in full spectrum of HR functions and activities including but not limited to recruitment, compensation and benefits, attendance & leave management, performance management, employee relations and external affairs.

Handle general enquires related to HR Policies and procedures to ensure alignment with operation needs and in compliance with Employment Ordinance

Handle staff issues including but not limited to disputes, disciplinary actions, and work injury including medical reimbursements, rehabilitation

Organize, conduct manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs

Prepare documents including correspondence, memorandums, reports etc.

Schedule and coordinate meetings and conferences, draft meeting minutes when necessary

Provide administrative and clerical support to HR Team to ensure smooth operation

Handle ad hoc assignments.

Requirements

Degree in Human Resources & Administration or related disciplines.

At least 8 years solid experience in HR.

Good communication, problem-solving and analytical skills

Detail-minded, mature, independent and must be respectful with excellent interpersonal skills

Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese

Well-versed in Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and other regulatory practices

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Chinese Word Processing

Candidate with less experience will be considered as “Human Resources Officer”

Passionate in social service
