Project Title: Jockey Club Animated Classical Chinese for Curious Minds Project (「看動畫．
讀名篇．識古文」

[Appointment Period: around 8 months]

In August 2022, the Education University of Hong Kong has launched a territory-wide project,
cooperating with around 100 primary schools in response to the need to learn classical Chinese (文
言文 ) for primary students in Hong Kong. The project aims to produce animations, design
innovative learning and teaching activities, and develop other multimedia learning materials that
emphasize interactions. The appointee will be required to collect, sort, and analyze information or
research materials for the project, compile statistical data, and perform other duties as assigned. The
appointees will be expected to commence employment around November 2024.

For the post of Senior Research Assistant, applicants should have a Master’s Degree in Education,
Statistics, Psychology, or related disciplines, and at least one-year post-qualification working
experience or a doctorate. For the post of Research Assistant I, applicants should have a Bachelor’s
Degree or above in Education, Statistics, Psychology, or related disciplines. They should possess
excellent command of English and Chinese (including Cantonese), strong computer skills, and
preferred expertise in psychometrics.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include contract-end
