Social Media Coordinator, M + Museum

M+ is a museum dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting visual art, design and architecture, moving image, and Hong Kong visual culture of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. The museum reflects our unique time and place, building on Hong Kong’s historic balance of the local and the international to define a distinctive and innovative voice for Asia’s twenty-first century.

This position will produce and publish dynamic content aimed at establishing M+ as a vital part of Hong Kong’s cultural ecosystem while also serving to cultivate and engage international audiences.

  • helping to manage the day-to-day social media content calendar with appropriate time planning and handling publishing logistics for different platforms
  • helping to fact-check, copyright-check and carrying out simple editing tasks for both texts and visuals, ensuring that contents are appropriately adapted and localised for different platforms whilst consistent with the M+ voice and style guidelines and accessibility requirements
  • being a central contact point communicating with inhouse and external copywriters, editors, videographers, designers, content producers, and translators to ensure a smooth workflow across departments
  • reviewing and compiling data analytics using a variety of tools
  • managing online community engagements and assisting with social monitoring
