The Centre is one of the few organisations that are working specifically on child labour prevention and remediation, including child labour risk assessments, and planning and execution of remediation programmes for child labour victims.
This is a full time position based in Hungary
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a consultant /project manager based in Hungary, who can support delivery of The Centre’s child rights and human rights projects in Hungary. These projects cover areas including risk assessment and monitoring, child labour prevention and remediation, capacity building and other human rights risk issues areas.

The consultancy assignment will run for an initial period of for 2-3 months (with the possibility of contract extension). The preferred location for the candidate is Hungary or they should be willing to relocate for the duration of the project.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
The position encompasses a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Supporting with visits to assess child rights conditions in the electronic industry in Hungary,
  • Managing and supporting stakeholders to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) for a period of 3 months.
  • Providing regular updates and reports to the Programme Manager in a timely manner.
  • Managing, implementing and coordinating tasks, which include supporting on-ground teams, carrying out administrative tasks, reporting, liaising with legal entities and programme partners, capacity building, training and monitoring, among others.
  • Managing and supporting client relations during service and project implementation.
  • Leading documentation and evaluations of projects and processes in collaboration with programme colleagues, with the overall aim of developing lessons learned within the organisation and sharing experiences with partners and brands.
  • Monitoring project budgets and expenditures.
  • Performing other duties as requested.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: A degree or master’s degree in social sciences, business development or business management preferred.
  • Experience working in one or more of the following areas: ethical compliance, supply chain monitoring and assessments, human rights or child rights, remediation
  • Experience in project management is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Proficiency in both verbal and written English is a MUST.
  • Strong professional integrity is required, with the ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong organisational, time management and multitasking skills are required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid problem-solving and team management abilities are essential.
  • Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, are required.
