• You have 3+ years audit working experience (internal control experience can be an advantage)
• You have experience of interacting with management at all levels
• You are confident in working in English and Hungarian with multinational colleagues from all around Europe

• You are able to work effectively, with limited oversight and deliver to tight deadlines whilst ensuring process discipline

Additional Information:

• Travel – As the role covers Ford’s business across Europe, a high level of travel will be required. Approximately 50% of the calendar year could be spent travelling outside of your home location.
• Full training on the audit process and systems will be provided.
• The successful candidate would be encouraged to study towards the CIA qualification unless they hold an equivalent qualification.

The GAO is recruiting an Auditor to perform Automotive business audits within Ford of Europe (Fo E). The Fo E audit team is led by the Audit Manager and is split across the UK, Germany, and Hungary. The team is part of the Global GAO team which includes Automotive, Ford Credit, Information Technology (IT) and dealer auditors from each region. As an Auditor, you will report directly to an Audit Supervisor who in turn reports to the Fo E Audit Manager.
During the year, the GAO is responsible for conducting several varied business audits across Europe. These include reviews of Ford’s Product Development (PD), Manufacturing, Marketing Sales and Service (MS&S) and Joint Venture Operations; central functions such as Accounting and Purchasing and new business areas. Working within dedicated audit teams, assignments are project-based and varied with the opportunity to participate in both Global and regional audits. The duration of an audit is typically between five (5) and eight (8) weeks with a team of up to four auditors (including a Supervisor).
Your role will involve identifying and quantifying business risk, reviewing the control environment and generating positive recommendations for change that strengthen the controls in place, reduce risk and add value to the organization.
Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct business interviews in order to document key business process control points and assess business risk
• Assess the effectiveness of the operational and financial control environment and identify areas of residual risk and identify areas of non-compliance with regulatory and Corporate requirements
• Use analytical techniques through the Global Data Insight and Analytics (GDI&A) dashboards and Alteryx
• Review control weaknesses with operational management to ensure acceptance and understanding. Advise potential control improvement actions to be taken by operating management
• Follow-up on control improvement actions taken by operational management related to audits and self-assessment findings assessed as “major”. Ensure that action plans are appropriate and timely
• Lead or support departmental / Global project initiatives including process improvements and training initiatives. Internal auditors also benefit from self-development opportunities such as volunteering to present to large internal GAO audiences at monthly All-Hands meetings or bi-annual regional meetings.
