You will:

• Leadership and execution of data projects with the authority to take decisions and update project progress to LRD management
• Leading and managing the day to day activities of the team, providing guidance and mentoring to junior staff members
• Working alongside senior colleagues, take a leading role to ensure LRD data quality issues are remediated and LRD data resources are used effectively
• Working with key stakeholders (LRD IT, Risk Reporting, LRMO, Risk Managers, Central Risk data team, business areas) to communicate and advance LRD’s data initiatives
• Drafting impactful presentations and presenting LRD data status and initiatives in EMEA & Global forums
• Representing LRD in Legal Entity data governance forums
• Practically apply BCBS 239 and firm data policy standards to LRD
• Working with the Data Governance in LRD team to implement an effective transaction testing framework for complex products. Testing will involve interaction with independent testing functions
• Identify and work on areas for process improvements related to risk data management including identification of data issues

Team profile:

Morgan Stanley’s Liquidity Risk Department (“LRD”) provides independent oversight of the Firm’s business and activities, serving as a second line of defense to ensure the Firm retains the appropriate level of liquidity to weather material stresses. Liquidity Risk reports to the Chief Risk Officer and is responsible for independent oversight and monitoring of the Firm’s overall trading, funding, financing and banking businesses, liquidity risk limit setting, risk assessment and analysis, management and regulatory reporting.

Role profile:

The role is in Liquidity Risk Data and will be based in Budapest leading the team covering LRD data strategy and data governance. The successful candidate will take the leading role examining LRD data flow by working with IT, Risk reporting, Middle Office and Risk Managers to improve transparency, prioritization and handle data issues. In addition, the successful candidate will have experience in undergoing transaction testing for data integrity and practical implementation of BCBS 239 standards. The role will provide exposure to senior management in various committees across Morgan Stanley.
