About the role
Currently, we are on the lookout for a Senior Data Engineer with Python experience who will join one of our projects in the modern governance software industry, being part of a large migration project.
You will join Zenitech Delivery capability as a Python Data Engineer with senior technical skills and experience. You will be part of a distributed multicultural team working on high-impact projects.



What you’ll do

• Understand data architecture and propose solutions that enhance data accessibility, integrity, and utility
• Implement scalable solutions and troubleshooting data-related issues
• Advise on and implement scalable ETL processes for optimal data extraction, transformation, and loading, tailored to the client’s specific needs
• Manage and optimize data workflows and pipelines, ensuring robust support for analytics, reporting, and decision-making processes
• Provide expertise in data warehousing, stream processing, and cloud services, offering recommendations and insights for system improvements.
• Promote and ensure data accuracy and consistency across various sources by implementing data quality checks and balances
• Bring your contribution to the project using native AWS technologies
  
• Utilize the latest automation, scripting, and CI/CD platforms and approaches
• Install & configure & maintain environments including production
• Assist with production of high quality operational and system documentation as required
• Help author code that automates deployment and configuration

Skills and qualities we appreciate

• At least 5 years of professional experience
• Strong experience with Python and common libs (Num Py, Pandas, Py Torch, etc.)
• Experience with SQL and No SQL databases
• Experience with cloud tools, could native development, Ia C, preferably AWS
• Knowledge of S3, Glue, Lambda, RDS, Event Bridge, Kinesis
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Hungarian
• Reliability, independence, punctuality, and integrity
• Logical, problem-solving focused mindset
• Solid troubleshooting ability and skills

Nice to have skills and qualities

• Worked with Big Data tools, data warehouse, event-driven architecture
• Experience with Airflow, Spark, dbt, Iceberg, Kafka, Redshift
• Experience with CDK, Terraform
• CI/CD experience, containers, cloud deployments, Git Hub actions
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM/Lean software development
• Keen to learn more about new languages and frameworks
• Familiarity with Git/Git Hub and Gitflow
