General Manager - Vacation Rental

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager for our Kolkata office to manage our Airbnb property management business, which currently has over 100 listings in Canada. The General Manager will be responsible for building and managing a virtual team of guest assistants, night auditors, accounting team, revenue managers, and other operational staff to support our properties and ensure exceptional guest experiences. The General Manager will also be responsible for generating reports for our Canadian office, and will need to have hotel manager experience, overseas experience, and experience working in the Airbnb business.
Responsibilities:
- Build and manage a virtual team of guest assistants, night auditors, accounting team, revenue managers, and other operational staff to support our properties
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences by managing and training the virtual team
- Coordinate with our Canadian office to ensure smooth operations
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective property management
- Oversee accounting and financial reporting for our Canadian office
- Generate all kinds of reports for the Canadian office, including financial, occupancy, and performance reports
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for the virtual team
- Ensure the timely resolution of guest complaints and issues
- Monitor market trends and adjust operations as needed to maintain a competitive edge
- Bring in best practices and new ideas from hotel management experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role within the Airbnb property management or hotel industry
- Overseas experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Fluent in English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Experience managing remote or virtual teams
- Experience generating financial and operational reports
- Understanding of regulatory requirements for property management
- This is an office-based role, so there are no specific physical requirements.
