Role reports to: Senior Director Technical Operations APAC
Location: Mumbai

What you will do

• Responsible for leading and directing Engineering team to perform a wide range of activities associated with the upgrades of current manufacturing equipment, installation of new manufacturing machines for capacity improvements or NPD/NPI’s including qualification to meet the requirements for manufacturing a dynamic and diverse portfolio of Consumer products. The responsibilities also include Leading Maintenance department and being accountable for all metrics including reliability, CAPEX, talent development, continuous improvement and the maintenance management program
• Oversees and directs site projects from investigating, evaluation and justification through purchase and installation to completion, ensuring that the Company's standards of performance, quality and safety are maintained or improved
• Develops maintenance strategy, annual targets, follow up measures and reviews performance to improve machine reliability
• Leads and organize maintenance team for technology transfer, equipment efficiency improvement, excellent asset care and process fine tuning
• Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology needed for new products or improvement for existing ones
• Works with the manufacturing, operations, quality and safety manager to review and monitor quality, safety and process improvements and new product development
• Provide technical support for the third-party manufacturers and advice on process measures in line with Company requirements
• Manage department expense and CAPEX budget to meet annual target / need
• Takes an active role as part of site leadership team to build winning environments for the site as well as provide input to overall plan

Qualifications
What we are looking for
Bachelor degree of Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. Master’s degree in management will be an advantage.
Professional Experience:
10 - 15 years related experience in Consumer manufacturing
Knowledge & Skills:

• Ability to understand engineering drawings, especially P & IDs, GA's etc
• Computer literate and familiar with Auto CAD, Microsoft Office, Project etc.
• Understand asset management strategy
• Demonstrate time management & leadership skills
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet strict deadlines
• Using logic and reasoning to offer solutions to problems
• Thorough understanding of the quality management system-. ISO, GMP and Quality system requirements
• Experience with World Class Manufacturing processes and methods, Lean, Kaizen, Kanban,5S, and other advanced manufacturing methodologies, tools and concepts
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
