About the Job

A Senior Hardware QA team is responsible for the testing and validation of the hardware products of Tesseract. The mandate of the team is to ensure all products are of the highest quality and provide the users with best in class experience. The incumbent will work closely with electrical and embedded software engineering teams to validate the design of the next generation of Mixed Reality products.

What You’ll Be Doing

Testing in low powered systems including power consumption and management testing
Testing in standard EE lab and measurement tools including high-speed scopes, function generators, spectrum and network analyzers.
Automate tests at the board and system level
Characterizing and verifying compliance of wireless RF devices
Testing electronic circuits, components and PCBs
Testing consumer display protocols (DP, HDMI) using protocol analyzers and oscilloscopes
Testing low-level protocols such as I2C, I2S, SPI, SPDIF etc. using protocol analyzers and oscilloscopes

What We Need To See

Strong understanding of electrical engineering concepts
Strong experience of PCB Validation for voltages, current flows, power leakages, connectivity, EMI/EMC, heat dissipation and RF antennas
Expertise with protocol of common interfaces such as SPI, I2C, I2S, USB, MIPI, DDRx, DP, HDMI
Experience in SW/HW QA with consumer electronics and/or Audio/Video products
Experience with board-level schematic and layout design
Experience with signal integrity measurement techniques and characterization of board level interfaces
Experience with USB protocols (HID, UVC, UAC) testing majorly on USB 3.0,
3.1 (Gen 1 & Gen 2), 3.2 and USB Type-C specific signalling using protocol analyzers and oscilloscopes
Excellent knowledge of QA methodologies, processes, and tools
Passion for quality and delivery of products that meet the highest quality standards in the industry
