About the Job

As the Hardware Leader for XR Devices, you will lead the charge in developing state-of-the-art mixed reality hardware, based on micro-processor technology. You will be responsible for every aspect of the device's engineering, from hardware development to integration of advanced technologies, all while ensuring optimal performance and heat management. Additionally, you will collaborate with OS teams to deliver the ideal user experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead and Mentor
- Build, mentor, and manage a highly skilled team of hardware engineers, architects, and designers dedicated to creating the Mixed Reality Devices.
Technical Strategy
- Develop and execute the technical strategy and roadmap for the Mixed Reality Devices, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
Cutting-Edge Hardware
- Drive the creation of groundbreaking mixed reality hardware, leveraging Qualcomm So C technology and pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
Integration of Advanced Technologies
- Collaborate with partners to integrate advanced technologies, such as eye tracking, into the XR device, enhancing user experiences.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Industrial Design (ID) and Mechanical Design (MD) teams to ensure seamless integration of technology with device size and form factor.
Qualcomm Board Bringup
- Exhibit strong expertise in Qualcomm board bring up processes, ensuring flawless device functionality and performance.
BSP and Driver Development
- Utilize your expertise to develop Board Support Packages (BSP) and write drivers for USB and Wifi Display, ensuring comprehensive hardware support.
Optimal Performance
- Engineer electronics hardware to operate efficiently, minimizing heat generation and maximising overall performance, ensuring the device's optimal functionality.
Partner Collaboration
- Work with ODM/OEM teams to ensure the delivery of XR device.

What We Need To See

Extensive experience in hardware engineering, with a strong focus on Qualcomm So C-based devices.
Experience in design and development of high-speed interface such as USB-C, MIPI, CSI.
Expertise in Qualcomm board bring up and deep familiarity with the Qualcomm ecosystem.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a high-performing engineering team with ODM/OEM.
Demonstrated ability to create hardware solutions that operate optimally and remain cool under use.
Worked closely with the cross-functional team of Architecture, Verification, Design for Test, Physical Design, and Software teams to make design decisions.
Familiarity with building consumer wearable products like Smartwatch is a plus.
Strong proficiency in BSP/Firmware development for seamless integration with software layers is a plus.
Knowledge of Android/Linux OS architecture with deep knowledge of USB and Display in android.
Strong preference for engineers with Wearable Product development and sustenance experience.
