Role:
As a Senior Wastewater Expert, you will
● Be responsible for all technical aspects of our urban wastewater treatment systems.
● Provide technical expertise, strategic guidance, and leadership in the planning and design of sewerage and faecal sludge management systems for different small and medium towns. This includes:
○ Sewer network design (city level and cluster level)
○ Design of wastewater and faecal sludge treatment system
Key Requirements/ Responsibilities:
● To strategically plan the overall management objectives, ensuring they are on target with business unit goals and directives
● Wastewater Treatment Expertise; In-depth knowledge of various wastewater treatment processes including biological, chemical, and physical treatment methods.
● Understanding of environmental regulations and standards related to wastewater Management
● Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and their application in wastewater treatment.
● Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget
● Strong analytical skills for monitoring performance and making data-driven decisions. Experience with using data analysis tools and software for environmental monitoring and reporting.
● Ability to develop and implement strategic plans for the STP division.
● Visionary thinking to drive innovation and continuous improvement in wastewater management
● Ability to provide technical guidance and expertise in selection and design of the most appropriate technologies for faecal sludge treatment applicable to small and medium towns, including developing the technology selection matrix.
Preferred Qualification and Experience
● Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
● Extensive experience (7-10 years) in Wastewater Treatment Systems, Sewerage systems & STP- Knowledge of their Design, Operation, and Management.
● In-depth knowledge of wastewater and faecal sludge Treatment processes, Regulations, and Environmental Standards.
Required Skills
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and optimization.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
● Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards governing wastewater management.
● Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor and inspire junior team members.
