ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Design & develop new products
- Investigating and implementing improvements to existing product range
- Overseeing external testing of products
- Training sales and appropriate internal staff in technical aspects of lighting and product knowledge
- Assist sales and clients with technical queries
- Support and provide technical documentation to the Operations Manager (OM)
- Maintain relationships with existing suppliers
- Proficient in English, both verbal and written
- Degree in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field
- Proven experience (4-5 years) in designing and developing products (not prototypes) is a must
- Knowledge in Solidworks and/or Autodesk Inventor
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Indesign
- Understanding of 3D design and 3D printing
- Ability to work to project deadlines
- High level of attention to detail
- Working in multi-cultural environment
- Working 40 hours/week from Mon-Fri
- Supported with training, guidance, and support from a team of knowledgeable lighting specialists
- World-class training at our HQ in Melbourne
