Overview
We are looking for a Designer to join our team where they will be working with the Sales Team and Directors to produce and deliver high quality drawings and designs for our Clients. The job will include two main areas, firstly in the design and detailing of commercial kitchens and associated areas in 2D and 3D and the secondly generating designs in Auto Desk Inventor (or similar) for stainless steel fabrication.
Job Description:
· Provide drawings and designs from information provided by the Sales Team
· Liaising with Suppliers in selection of products for projects.
· Liaising with clients on the review and approval of proposals.
· Ensure compliance with quality standards in CAD documentation
· Must have excellent time management skills and be able to work under pressure when required to achieve deadlines
Duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· 2D/3D Design of Commercial Kitchens and ancillary areas.
· 2D/3D Design of sheet metal parts and fabricated components
· Assist in material specifying and ordering
· Bill of Materials & Costing Sheets generation
· Document & Quality Control
Requirements:
· A relevant degree/diploma qualification
· 1+ years' experience in a similar role, with experience working on Sheet Metal Design and Fabrication using Auto Desk Inventor or Similar essential.
· Proficiency in CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor and Auto CAD
· Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings, and designs
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
· Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
· Must be enthusiastic and will be a team player
Desirable but not essential Criteria:
· Knowledge of materials; includes wood, glass, plastics, etc.
· Familiarity with CNC Press brakes / laser cutting machines an advantage
