We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CAD Technician/Engineering Assistant to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and amending CAD drawings, managing project documentation, and providing support to both on-site teams and the engineering administration function. This role requires a strong understanding of CAD software, excellent organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and contribute within a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
CAD Drafting and Design:

• Create and modify technical drawings using Auto CAD based on sketches, specifications, and redlines.
• Ensure drawings adhere to company standards, industry regulations, and technical requirements
• Maintain accurate records of all drawings and revisions.
• Produce high-quality drawings for a variety of engineering projects.

Document Management:

• Organize and maintain project files, drawings, and other relevant documentation.
• Implement and adhere to document control procedures.
• Ensure all documents are readily accessible to the project team.

Site Support:

• Provide accurate and timely information to site teams.
• Assist in responding to technical queries from site personnel.
• Assist in resolving site-related issues.

Engineering Administration:

• Support the engineering administration function by liaising with utilities and local authorities.
• Assist with permit applications and other regulatory requirements.
• Track and monitor project progress.

Qualifications:
Essential:

• Proficiency in Auto CAD or other relevant CAD software.
• Excellent organizational and document management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Previous experience in a consulting office environment is highly desirable.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Experience with utility coordination and permitting processes.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
