Bushfield Nursing Home are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menus with attention to detail.
• Lead and supervise the kitchen team during service, ensuring smooth operations and timely dish preparation.
• Ensure that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, meeting the expectations of residents.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure that kitchen stock is controlled and maintained efficiently.
• Enforce all food safety and HACCP regulations to maintain a clean and compliant kitchen environment.
• Assist with menu development, cost control, and maintaining profitability while delivering quality.
• Key Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a busy kitchen environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and delegate tasks effectively.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Fluent English both oral and written.
• Excellent HACCP & Hygiene.

Minimum 2 years experience required.
Position subject to Garda vetting and valid work permit authorisation.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: €16.00-€17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
