Job Title: Civil Engineering Estimator

Position Overview: The Civil Engineering Estimator will be integral to the project planning and execution process. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of experience in cost estimation, sub-contractor management, and overseeing day-to-day operations on-site. This role is ideal for a professional with a solid background in civil engineering and a keen interest in project management.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to develop time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to establish detailed project scopes.
• Negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
• Monitor project costs and progress, ensuring adherence to the budget and schedule.
• Support the preparation of tender documents and participate in contract negotiations.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather essential information for estimates.
• Manage sub-contractors on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.
• Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure a smooth workflow and address any issues that arise.
• Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering estimation.
• At least 2 years of experience managing sub-contractors on-site and handling day-to-day operations.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and cost estimation techniques.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Auto CAD, Microsoft Office Suite, estimating software).
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
